Katie Hettinga is a Policy Analyst for Rethink Trade. She joined the Rethink Trade team in 2023 as Program Associate, providing administrative and research support to other staff. She started working as a Policy Analyst in 2025 and now assists Director and Research Director and prepares original data analysis and infographic reports. Katie holds degrees in Political Science and Agricultural Economics with an Applied Economics emphasis from the University of Idaho. While at UI, she was a legislative scholar with the McClure Center for Public Policy Research.
